At approx. 5/16" thick, this chairmat is designed for medium to high pile residential carpet with padding. This chair mat will reduce "dimpling" or "sinking" into the chairmat by displacing the weight over larger area. The textured surface of these chairmats hides wear and tear, and the shallow carpet studs prevent damage to flooring.
